2023 Volunteer Information

BrewHa Festival takes place in the Festival Area of Prince Arthur’s Landing.

Upon arrival, festival attendees are provided with a sampling glass/mug and 4 tokens for beer/cooler/cider samples as well as a wristband.

Key Dates/Times

Set Up: Friday, July 14 from 8 AM to 3 PM
Session 1 – Friday, July 14: 4 PM to 9 PM
Session 2 – Saturday, July 15: 4 PM to 9 PM
Take Down: Saturday, July 15 from 9 PM to 11 PM / Sunday, July 16 from 8AM to 3PM

Volunteer Information

Volunteer Check-In / Check-Out
Please arrive at the Volunteer Tent 15 minutes before your assigned shift begins. A Volunteer Coordinator will be there to greet you and offer any necessary instructions or updates for the day.

Volunteer Hospitality & Support
The Volunteer Tent is your go-to place when you need a quick break before, during or after your shift. Snacks will be available. Please bring an empty water bottle for filling at the water station throughout your shift.

Volunteer Parking & Transportation
There is no on-site parking so please utilize parking lots and spaces throughout the Waterfront District. Free on street parking is available after 5pm on Friday and all-day Saturday.

Free transit service is available on Friday and Saturday by showing your BrewHa Festival Day Pass QR code. Volunteers who require a QR code to access free transit, please email John at brewha@tbchamber.ca by July 10th.

Volunteer Tips

  • Wear your BrewHa Festival volunteer t-shirt during your shift. Please bring an extra shirt to wear if you plan to attend the festival as a patron before or after your shift.
  • What to bring:
    • Volunteer pass
    • Empty water bottle
    • Sunscreen / Bug spray
    • Hat / Jacket
    • Credit/Debit/Cash
    • Photo ID – this is a 19+ event
  • If you cannot attend your shift due to an emergency, please call/text Charla at 807-627-7770 so that we can arrange coverage.

Volunteer Roles & Responsibilities

Festival Entry – Scanning: Scan attendee tickets/QR codes on provided phone.

Festival Entry – Wristbands: Distribute wristbands and provide tokens/glass upon entry to site. At peak times this will be shared between additional volunteers.

Site Maintenance: Empty garbage & recycling cans. Collect recycling from brewers for beer can return. Refill / clean glass washing stations. Oversee games areas. Oversee security.

Site Set-Up & Take Down: Install/take down fencing, tents, signage, tables, chairs.

Stage/Band Coordination: Manage stage & performer hospitality.

Vendor Support: Deliver ice and beer to vendors as needed. Ice deliveries need to be tracked for charge back to vendors.

Volunteer & Information Tent: Volunteer check in / check out. ID check. Providing wrist bands to volunteers. Putting tokens into sample cups. Managing snacks/water for volunteers. Patron information booth and lost & found
